On my weekly English class, my teacher likes to get us students using past tense to describe our week with classmates.
I often find it difficult to think back to what I have done in the past week. Whenever I have to describe my week, I become a person without memory. It seems that either I tend to forget things easily, or I hardly notice what I do everyday.
This sounds scary to me, because I often think I live my life seriously. Now this simple English class activity actually pulls me out from where I used to be, and wakes me up to the fact that I am actually living my days unconsciously. I would say this is part of the upside of learning foreign languages.
